In response to the Revolutionary Praxis leaflet 'Revolting Students' someone wrote:

"We are running against time and Maoists in Britain should start to unite and establish a basis for an organisation relying on our own strengths and ideas as opposed to copying and attempting to replicate the line of 'New' synthesis."

For nearly twenty years I have been trying to persuade Maoists in Britain that it is our duty to form a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist organisation.  Yet they resolutely refuse to do so.  All that they are prepared to do is a bit of solidarity work with struggles in other parts of the world.  Anything, anywhere so long as it is not here and now.

What is the reason for this refusal to form a revolutionary organisation in Britain?  Basically, it is a lack of ideological commitment.

Here we are in a situation where there is an upsurge of anger about the public spending cuts and people are looking for answers to their questions  The few of us who operate under the heading of Revolutionary Praxis find that while many people, especially young ones, are interested in the ideas in our leaflets and pamphlets, we have no organisational framework to offer to them.  Rome is burning and yet all some people want to do is fiddle on about Avakian, Stalin, etc.  What the fuck is the matter with you people?
