Dear comrades,
Warmest greetings of international solidarity!
Kabataang Makabayan (KM, Patriotic Youth), the largest revolutionary youth organization in the Philippines, will be celebrating its 45th founding anniversary on 30 November 2009.
The KM was established in 1964 with Prof. Jose Maria Sison being elected as its founding chairman. Since then, it has spearheaded the progressive youth movement in the country: proletarian revolutionaries from its ranks led the re-establishment of the Communist Party of the Philippines in 1968; the storm of anti-fascist and anti-imperialist movement of the early 1970s was made possible in large part by the active involvement of the KM; to this day, activists from its ranks continue to stream to the rural countryside to assist in the anti-feudal struggle and the further advance of the national democratic revolution.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, the International Office of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) is organizing a set of activities in the afternoon and evening of Saturday, 28 November. It would be a great pleasure if you can join us in these activities.
